Do you belong to the dedicated, experienced
cyclist, who freqently finds the usual distances of 300 - 400 km too
short? For you we connected 3 popular long distance bicycle paths to
an interesting long range bicycle track covering the best parts of 4
Austrian federal states. Explore Salzburg, Styria, Upper- and Lower
Austria as well as East Bavaria.
As a starting point we recommend the Mozart city
Salzburg. The route course connects following, very well signposted cycle
paths:
Tauern Cycle Path
between Salzburg and Flachau; Enns
Cycle Path between Flachau and Mauthausen/Enns; Danube
Cycle Path II between Enns and Passau; Tauernradweg
between Passau and Salzburg.
In order to avoid some steep ascents, we recommend to cycle the tour in
a.m. direction. Thus the steeper passages are covered downhill, especially
in the Enns Valley.
