After 65 km the Mur passes the boarder to Styria
- the Green Heart of Austria. On a length of 261 km the Mur flows
through Styria to the state boarder where it flows into Slovenia. Here the fully
developed cycle path ends. The great charm of the Mur cycle path lies in
the natural landscapes, friendly villages far away from the hustle and
bustle of the "big world". Only near the city Graz, industry
is found. Other than that you can enjoy pure nature, clear waters, clean air and the famous Austrian
hospitality.
The cycle path "Tour de Mur" runs along
the river from the spring to Bad Radkersburg.
365 km nature and culture
in countless variations.
On the sunny side of the
Southern Alps - from the spectacular mountains of the Hohe Tauern
down to the South Styrian Winecountry! From Gentian to Riesling wine the Mur cycle path is the most diverting rivercycle path of
Europe.
