Salzburg is directly connected with the A1, the great highway connecting Vienna - Salzburg and from there further to Munich. Here the highway has the number A8.

Coming from the South, Salzburg can be reached by the A10 Tauernautobahn.

Ryan-Air is flying to Salzburg. If your preferred airline is not flying directly to Salzburg, the alternative would be Munich or Vienna.

From Munich exists no direct flight connection to Salzburg. A train (S-Bahn) shuttles between Munich Airport and the main railwaystation of Munich. A regular train connection between Munich and Salzburg is available.

Parking in Salzburg

As in most cities, also Salzburg has only limited parking-space available. In the centre, parking fees apply everywhere.
Please note: Parking overtime or without paying is heavily fined!

"Park and Ride" parking places are situated on following highway exits:
Exit "Messegelände"
Exit "Süd", near the boarder of Salzburg, Alpenstrasse
