Finally we came back home after more than 2 weeks on the bike. from salzburg till Prag/dresden ueber Passau /Linz. (Km 900) We met each other in a tiny little place called ETTENAU (tittmoning) near Burghausen. You have taken a photo of us. Remember? You gave us some information booklet about MUR.Fluss,MOZART Radweg. Thank for your kindness. The trip wasn't so difficult even though in CZ is very up and down. till PRAG. There are no radweg in CZ but one drives on small roads,That's means roads with little traffic.(zum beispiel www.mapove-centrum.cz .-jihoceske cyklotrasy I ,II,III, IV,etc 1:75000 price € 2 ) You can buy very detailed bike maps where roads are indicated by numbers! For example from the Austrian border you take number 12 and in the vicinity of TABOR number 11 which goes to Prag. From Prag till Dresden we drove on heavy traffic roads because we were in a hurry. (always along the ELBE/LABE. Prices in CZ are very cheap by any standard. Private zimmer for € 6 ;Hotels € 40 for D/Z mit fruhstuck ; and you can easily lunch/dinner for € 5 including beer! But stay away from big cities! Camping is everywhere 1 tent plus 2 persons € 9. Hope to hear from you.
